Hi all,

I’ve got a problem too… I try to fix it for many hours but nothing works… The wibsite is hosted on mediatemple and I’m using the lastest version of WP.

… Bad news… It doesn’t work !

SMTP connect() failed.

The website is on MediaTemple, I have a lot of problem with them… I think I have to configure something but I dont find… Any ideas ?

I have the same problem. How does WP mail SMTP suppose to work.
I see in the error code string(82) “SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting” What is this github.com Do have to go through another server and not our web or mail host. Is this where the problem is.

I tried the option Use the PHP mail() function to send emails. and now I receive a True error code and no red outline. However I still can’t get the e-mail received. More ideas?

Hi,

I installed WP Mail Bank and it was better. I noticed that I recieve email to tell me that Miscrosft blocked my emails. I spoke with them to fix it and now its ok.

Hi,
I’m trying WP Mail Bank. I get some of the same response as WP mail SMTP. When trying to send test message, I get and error. For the SMTP host, is that my e-mail host. I see that gethub.com seems to be involved here too. If I use PHP option, I get message that e-mail was sent OK, but I never received it. There must be something I’m missing. What is the SMTP username/password. Is that my WordPress username/password.

Same issue here… Broken on WP 4.5
I tried the plugin on 3 separate physical servers, fails in all.
I’m not sure what the issue is, as I can successfully connect (and send email) by logging into server with the same email credentials set in this plugin.
