    Hello, everyone,

    I am encountering an error during the process of sending e-mail using Gmail SMTP server via WordPress on my site. I am using the following SMTP settings for e-mail sending:

    SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
    Port: 465 (SSL connection active)

    However, when establishing a connection, I get the following error: SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host. Failed to connect to server. SMTP server error: Failed to connect to server. SMTP code: 110, Additional info: Connection timed out.

    In the meantime;
    From Manage My Google Account -> Security Section -> Less Secure App Access -> ON. I set it this way.

    I am sure I entered my SMTP Username and Password correctly. Does anyone have information about this?

    Hi @murtito,

    Thanks for reaching out! The error you experienced indicates that your connection timed out when trying to connect to the Google SMTP server. Please get in touch with your hosting provider’s support team with the full error log, and they should be able to assist you with this error.

    In the meantime, we recommend using the Google Mailer to create a connection with your Gmail or Google Workspace email account. Google Mailer is an API-based mailer that is reliable and secure, and you should not experience such connection issues.

    I hope this helps. Thanks!
