Hi. I am creating my very first web page with the great theme Pique. I am wondering how I can use a smooth-scroll effect in a link that I additionally set in the body of the page other than the preset menu.

For example, in my page, clicking one of the menu bottom triggers the smooth screen effect that is accompanied with jump to an anchor, but I could not see such effect when I click “let’s work together” bottom on “About” panel of my page.

    Thank you,

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi there,

That scrolling effect is caused by a JavaScript function in the front-page.js file of your theme, and that function is only called if a link in the dynamically generated menu is clicked.

To apply that effect to other page-jump links on your site, you’ll need to modify your theme’s code to call that function in those cases as well, but I’m not able to help you with that.

Hi, KokkieH. Thank you for the helpful information. I understand how it works. I will try to implement the code also for the other links when I have time.

    Thank you.

I’m glad if it helped. Please also set the topic to resolved to indicate to other forum users you no longer need help with it ??
