    This may seem strange, but there is a smiley face appearing at the bottom of all the pages of my website. When I inspect it, I can see it is coming from the alt text for something, but I can’t figure out what exactly:

    <img src="https://pixel.wp.com/g.gif?v=ext&j=1%3A6.4&blog=49352718&post=0&tz=2&srv=www.twipemobile.com&host=www.twipemobile.com&ref=&rand=0.6827720273241316" alt=":)" width="6" height="5" />

    Any ideas where the smiley could be coming from?

    Thank you!

    It’s from Jetpack’s stats. Edit the settings for statistics in Jetpack and check the option to “hide the smiley”.

    Are you logged in when seeing that? I don’t see it in the page source anywhere. That domain is owned by WordPress. Are you using Jetpack? I believe it may be built into that.

    Try logging out and seeing if it is still visible.

    edit – looks like I type too slowly!

    It’s only visible when I’m logged out, I followed the steps from Steve to turn off the setting in Jetpack and that has solved it. Thank you both so much for the quick responses!
