• I bought Smart Forms about two years ago. I use it for simple forms where people can register for events. I made several forms with a simple repeater, where the users choose from 2 or 3 options and then enter a number of participants. Like this:

    Members (¥3,500) 2 ¥7,000
    Guests(¥4,500) 1 ¥4,500

    Total ¥11,500

    Well that is what the form should look like. I constantly get forms where the total is wrong (maybe ¥0, or just some random number). This happens 5 times out of 10.

    I asked about this 2 years ago when I bought it. At the time I asked RedNao for a feature to allow me to edit forms (which he graciously added), so I can fix these forms. But I find myself editing these forms all the time, and of course my users all get confirmation emails with wrong totals.

    It’s been two years. Any chance this will ever be fixed?

    After more testing I think I have identfied one issue.

    I have a page on which I have two different SmartForms on the same page. (The forms have separate purpose.) It seems when people fill out both forms and click submit, the total from one form is put on the other. This is what leads to the “random” totals on the form.

    Basically the situation is like this:

    ====== Page =======

    Form 1

    Form 2

    ==================

    When people complete both forms (without pressing submit on Form 1?) and press submit, then the total of Form 2 is entered on Form 1.

    The total registered on Form 2 is also wrong, but I can’t tell what the pattern is.

    Separately from this issue I still have forms with ¥0 totals. In this case perhaps people are completing only Form 1 and pressing submit on Form 2.

    If my analysis is correct, it would seem that the SmartForms “submit” does not know how to identify the correct form to which it belongs.
