Thanks for this great plugin. As a digital marketing person with an emphasis on nurturing leads and creating relationships, this has a ton of promise.

I was wondering why the plugin did away with Smart Segmentation. Is it assumed that segmentation occurs by sorting by the forms that were filled out? How are admins using this tool to do proper segmentation – both for categorizing leads or creating a more personalized funnel for email marketing?

    Any insight would be awesome.

  • Hi Drew,

Thanks for reaching out! In previous versions of Leadin it was possible to filter contacts by they pages viewed in addition to the forms submitted but this was filtering rather than proper smart segmentation meaning it was not made easy to filter and subsequently create a more personalised funnel for email marketing.

In it’s current form Leadin includes segmentation on a per-form basis and each form can be connected to it’s own list(s) in either MailChimp, Constant Contact, Campaign Monitor, GetResponse or AWeber. It’s possible that we’ll be able to expand on these segmentation options in the future, was there some specific type of segmentation you had in mind?

    Thanks,
    Shay

    Hi Shay,

Thanks for getting back so quickly. I was looking to qualify or prioritize leads in a way that I define through wordpress – not necessarily my email marketing client. It looks like your solution in MailChimp may work though.

The only other question I had was obtaining the social media information of each lead as they fill out a form. Currently, I’m getting their email address (obviously). How are their facebook and twitter info populated? Do they need to visit my site with link tagging set up in order to obtain that information?

Let me know if I should open up a new ticket for this unrelated request.

Thanks again! Keep up the good work ??

    Hi Drew,

No problem, happy to help. The Twitter/Facebook/LinkedIn and company information are populated from HubSpot Insights which is also used by the HubSpot CRM and Sidekick to populate similar information. In it’s simplest form what it does is take the email address of the contact and search for social accounts that are publicly connected to that email address. If there is a Twitter or LinkedIn account connected to [email protected] then we’ll fill in that information inside Leadin.

Leadin will automatically display this info for all contacts where the information is available, all they need to do is fill out a form with their email address, no other tagging is necessary.

I hope this helps, if there is anything I can clarify let me know.

Hope you have a good weekend ??
