    I’ve used Smart Youtube for a long time and never had a problem. However now I’m using 3.3.1, the httpv: URL is displayed in post excerpts.

    You can see what I mean in the top entry on this page:

    I’ve tried embedding the video as a thumbnail, embedding as a video, not embedding it – no matter what I do, the URL shows up as well. Any ideas?

    I got a reply from the developer, which is basically to change every single link to a new shortcode – not practical on several blogs and hundreds of posts.

    Anyone know of a Youtube plugin that will recognize the httpv prefix? Or any other ideas?

    I resolved this, finally. It must have been a theme conflict, because when I changed my theme, the problem went away.
