I did some testing, but I did not go into the root cause of the problem.

Just to make it clearer. I create an HTML popup and place the shortcode of the smart builder. Then before updating the plugin, it appeared normal, after I updated the Smart Slider, started to display only one blank square.

Thanks for your patience! We’ve made some changes and the slider seems to work fine with Popup Builder again. Could you please try the new build? I have uploaded it here for you: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2n88qrfyk0j1utd/nextend-smart-slider3-wordpress.zip?dl=1

You should just go to your Plugins list, delete your current Smart Slider 3 (don’t worry, your sliders will stay) and install this new build:
https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/55-wordpress-installation#admin
and it should fix the issue.
