• I installed a new plugin (Smart slider) for user. In Adminize settings Smart slider is allowed for this user and his role (Shop manager), but he does not see anything in backend as it is hidden. I tried to find some help online, but without any luck. I went through other Adminize setings to see if somehow I am not blocking this plugin in other Adminize sections, but it looks like it is allowed everywhere. Do you know how to unlock/make this slider visible for her in the backend? I, a super admin can see Smart slider just fine. Thanks a lot for your feedback.

    Hi @jakub78

I’m from Smart Slider’s support and while I’m not familiar with Adminimize I can tell you that by default Smart Slider is only accessible for admin level users. Based on Adminimize’s description, it can enable/disable the already available options for users.

This part of the plugin’s description makes me think that:

There are lots of things in the WordPress admin area that your users don’t need to see or use. This plugin help you to hide unnecessary items from WordPress admin area.

So I think the main problem is that the shop manager role does not have access to Smart Slider at all, which can be the reason why Adminimize doesn’t do anything.

To be able to make other user roles access Smart Slider, they need to be given the proper capabilities to manage the slider:

Can you double check that the Shop manager role has the necessary capabilities to access Smart Slider?

    Hi @nextend_ramona,

I have not checked Shop manager roles and permissions and it is possible, that he/she does not have access to Smart slider settings by default and only the Admin role can see the whole package. Your amazing and well-detailed explanation helped great and my user with the Shop manager role can see the Smart slider and is able to create and update slider now. Thanks a lot. I used User Role Editor plugin in the past, when working on another project, but assumed that Adminize will do the same trick as URE and I did not want to use more plugins than is necessary. I think your answer will also benefit the whole community. Thank you again ??
