Smart Slider 3 does not work with the Gutenberg plugin.

As in Timbearcub’s post I am getting only white pages when editing or creating new pages. I use the plugin because it offers more options than the built in version.

I have installed the upgrade as offered in Timbearcub’s post, but to no avail, I still get blank pages.

I have cleared all caches, am running the latest version of WordPress and my PHP is version 8

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi @mikealan

Are you sure you installed the build:

that my colleague Gabor posted on that topic:

Since I have just checked the Gutenberg plugin with the current release and with the build, and the build resolved the problem for me.

So please download it again, and install it like Gabor described in the other topic. When you install the plugin manually, make sure you selected the downloaded file.

If you still see the problem even after that, then most likely your server has a file cache that makes it still load the earlier cached compiled codes. You should clear that cache and it should resolved the problem. Once it is done, you should also try hard refreshing the browser while you are in the Gutenberg editor ( e.g. Ctrl+F5 on Windows or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac ).

By the way, we are currently in the process of releasing new versions, so next week once we release the update, people won’t need to install this build manually anymore, as the new release will also contain the compatibility fix for this problem.

    Best regards,
    Laszlo.

    Hi @laszlo,

Thank you for your prompt response.

Yes, it does work. I’m not sure what I did first time round, probably loaded the old version!

Anyway thanks very much for your help.

    Regards, Michael

    Hi @mikealan

Probably it was some file cache, like OPcache that could make your site continue loading old codes for a long time, if you have it configured that way.

Either ways, I am glad it works now! ??

In this case I mark this topic as resolved.

    Have a nice weekend!
