Smart Payment Buttons Malfunction

    This problem occurs when ‘Smart payment buttons’ is ticked. The effect is:

    When logged in everything works.
    When not logged in, then:
    a) An additional button for Venmo Appears on mobile
    b) On mobile and desktop, clicking the PayPal button results in a function call that simply dies. on the mobile, a little white screen with rotating emblem appears for about 1 second and then disappears and the display returns to the page on which the button was clicked. On desktop – similar – nothing happens.

    Disabling the smart payment buttons restores operation.

    I have taken this up with PayPal but they could not help and referred me to you.

    Venmo showing is an expected behavior but not two of the same Venmo button. Also, I tested this and could replicate the issue of the button taking no action.

    Could you try switching back to a default theme like Twenty Seventeen and disabling all plugins except for WooCommerce and PayPal Checkout to see if this resolves the issue?

    If so, then re-enable each one at a time until you find the one that’s causing the conflict.
