The toggle to switch between lossless/lossy needs to come back immediately, you don’t just make a huge change like this and force users to get optimized at the generic level you think is best, now everyone is having quality issues, you’ll lose $ doing this.

    Hi @thanewest

I am very sorry to hear about this!

While we consider this as well, is there any chance to send us some of the problematic images?

We were already able to solve some similar cases as user sent us the image and we found out what was the problem.

    Thanks in advance!
    Marko

I agree the “smart” optimisation completely damaged all our product images on all our 3 different online shops. I had to delete the plugin. I think it’s essential for the customer to choose what kind of optimisation we want, this was a terrible move.

    Hi @kampg

Thank you for your feedback and I am really sorry to hear about that experience!

Did you try to use Lossless re-compression for your product images through Media Library(List View)?

I would like to inform you that we are listening to feedback and we will definitely consider re-introducing the Bulk option for Lossless re-compression.

Our developers are on this and we will post the update as soon as possible.

    Best regards,
    Ioanna

Like many others, we are also seeing blurry images on all product images in woocomerce product page gallery’s using your smart default compression level… forcing us to use quota by making us re-optimize to lossless to resolve the problem is utterly disgusting.

Other image compression plugins we have installed do not have the same problem

This has been 3 month… this must be resolved or you lose out business for this and for wp-rocket. Repeated emails to support have gone un-answered

I agree with the feedback from others. Some images appear more pixelated or blurry than what I desire (or my clients desire) now with the “smart” optimization automatically enabled. I would like to see the ability to choose the optimization level again. For now, I’ve stopped using Imagify on any new sites and uninstalled it on a few others until this issue can be corrected. Do you have a timeline on when this will be fixed @wp_media ?????

I can confirm that “smart” opp has caused a degradation of quality on many of my sites, we need to get the ability to control this back with the ability to control the webP version ASAP.

    Hello everyone,

Just wanted to thank you once again for your feedback and to let you know that we have released v2.1 of Imagify.

In this version, we have added the option to choose Lossless compression level snd to reoptimize images in the Bulk optimization page.

We would highly appreciate if you give it another try and let us know what you think.

    Best Regards
    Marko
