Smart Field against spam

For anti-spam purposes we generally suggest using the Captcha field which seems to be much better than other solutions, especially hCaptcha: https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#captcha-field

There’s also an option to enable Honeypot protection which creates a hidden field that bots will try to fill in and if they do, Forminator will reject the submission: https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#security

And if you’re using Akismet, Forminator has an integration with it as well, the details are available under the same link above.

You can create a simple solution of this kind using the fields and conditional rules, however there’s currently no way to generate the equations. Here’s how you could set the scenario:

Yes Honeypot protection is already active, but I had a lot of spam (50 in 2 days).

About Captcha solutions, as Google Recaptcha is not GDPR compliant, I’d prefer to avoid using it. And it seems that hCaptcha is also not GDPR compliant, because the company (Intuition Machines) is located in the US.
I have seen a ticket about considering adding support for Friendly Captcha.

This would be a really interesting feature as the company behind this solution is located in Germany, so data will be stored in UE => GDPR compliant.

Do you still considering adding support for Friendly Captcha ?

We have already added the request to support Friendly Captcha in the plugins backlog but cannot provide an ETA on when this will be part of the plugin. Seeing the increased demand for this, I hope the Forminator team will consider providing it with some priority.
