• Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to load the different thumbnail versions of an image somehow?

We use wordpress in combination with woocommerce as shop and the images was imported in the max-resolution for the product fullscreen-window and zoom-feature. Thanks to wordpress we used the different thumbnail sizes for smaller thumbnails in product-archives, developed editor and so on.

But I realized that Masterslider seems to be only allows me to select the uploaded image, but not his different thumbnail-sizes instead to reduce the file size.

By product images who can get 1150×1150 big and sliders which shows in different slides 5 of them, can really effect the page load for the customer and google rating.

So, my question is as I asked:
Is it possible to load one of the thumbnail versions instead of the full sized product image? (same ratio) I wouldn’t like to upload for each slide new images who already are available as a thumbnail of an full-sized product.

    Kind Regards,
    Sascha

    Hi,

First sorry about delay in response.
The Master Slider load thumbnail sized images to using as thumbnail in slider.
You can check it by viewing page source that included slider with thumbnail.

So you don’t need any new image as thumbnail.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

    Regards

No, that wasn’t the question. WordPress allows to create different thumbnail-sizes of an image. (original, large, medium, small) My question was to load these on a slider instead the full (original) size of an image.

You should think about this. Because my theme developer switched to Revo, I’ve to port my MasterSlider Slides and will not use this plugin anymore. But what I can see there, is that he has the same issue.

You just can add the original-sized versions of images on the slides, not the resized ones.

    Dear Sascha,

Unfortunately, at the moment this feature is not available since most of the clients believe that programmatic cropping of an image will uglify the look of a slider. So the best option is cropping the image manually in WordPress media library or any other image editing application.

However, I will pass this as a feature request to dev team and might be available in next upcoming update of Master Slider.

We appreciate your time for sending feedback on this matter.

    Kind regards,
    Averta
