    Hi @akgt

This means that you have a scan result that matches one of these conditions:

    – Scan for publicly accessible quarantined files
    – Scan for publicly accessible configuration, backup, or log files

    https://www.wordfence.com/help/scan/#scan-stages

If you send me your Wordfence diagnostics report then I will be able to see the full scan result. Please go to the top of the Diagnostics tab on the Wordfence Tools page. There will be a SEND REPORT BY EMAIL button to send the diagnostics report. Enter wftest [at] wordfence [dot] com as the email and akgt as the forum username please.

Once you have emailed me the diagnostics report can you reply here to let me know that it has been sent. This is important in the unlikely event that your installation of WordPress is having an issue with sending mail.`

    Hi @akgt

The diagnostics report says that there are no new scan issues.

    Hi @akgt

    Thank you for the update.

Do you recall the scan result that you saw that matched one of the conditions below:

    – Scan for publicly accessible quarantined files
    – Scan for publicly accessible configuration, backup, or log files

Nothing that I can recall, I did have some issues with the plugins when the site was restored from a backup but this was fixed when the plugin was deleted.

    Hi @akgt

    Thank you for the update.

If it isn’t listed under the Results Found or Ignored Results tab then the issue is no longer present on your site.

If it comes back then let me know the full scan result using the DETAILS button.

Thanks, other than the new user nothing is showing in the issue but I cant get rid of the public files https://prnt.sc/21tkps8 issues, do I need to delete the user or reinstall wordfence.

    Hi @akgt

    Thank you for the update.

One possible reason is that the last scheduled scan generated the scan result that matched one of the conditions below files and you resolved it, most likely by pressing the HIDE FILE button for a publicly accessible configuration, backup, or log file:

    – Scan for publicly accessible quarantined files
    – Scan for publicly accessible configuration, backup, or log files

This won’t have removed the warning triangle for the Public Files scan stage until the next scheduled or manual scan was run.

No the only thing the is hidden is the user name. also the warning triangle for the Public Files has now been removed
