Small images (thumbnails) beside my post titles in hueman theme

  • This is great theme. Simply amazing! I gave it 5 stars.

    But the thing which is spinning my head off since weeks is, I just can’t get small sized images (or thumbnails if we can call it.) besides the post titles in my side bar. I want my front page look exactly like what is displayed in demo. I tried many things. I tried editing codes too. But nothing worked out. I love this theme but am bit frustrated as I am not able to get this issue resolved all by myself. Will someone help?

  • Hi unnitmetaliya. Welcome to the Hueman forum. No coding or theme changes necessary. The theme demo site is using the following:

    Header
    Topbar and Header menus enabled
    Theme Options > Header > Custom Logo has been uploaded
    Theme Options > Header > Site Description is ON

    Content area:
     Default blog layout
    Theme Options > Blog > Featured Post Count = 3

    Primary sidebar on the left:
    Theme Options > Social Links defined for the sidebar heading
    AlxTabs widget displaying “Recent Posts” and “Most Popular”
    AlxPosts widget displaying a specific category

    Secondary sidebar on the right:
    A text widget with an ad
    AlxPosts widget displaying “Most commented” posts
    AlxTabs widget displaying “Recent Comments”

    Post Navigation
    WP_PageNavi plugin is installed

    Footer
    Theme Options > Footer > Footer Widget Columns = 3
    Widgets > Footer 1 sidebar has WP “Recent Posts” widget
    Widgets > Footer 2 sidebar has WP “Recent Comments” widget
    Widgets > Footer 3 sidebar has AlxTabs widget displaying “Popular Posts”
    Footer menu is enabled
    Theme Options > Footer > Footer Logo has been uploaded
    Social icons are same as defined for the Primary Sidebar header

    No! You are not getting my issue.

    I want small image besides the title of posts in my sidebar. I checked all of things that you have mentioned above. But it didn’t solve my problem

    How can I get small sized images besides post titles. It shows just titles in list.. there are no images beside post titles. What to do?

    I don’t see an image on your second link.

    seems to be the ‘alx-tabs’ which comes with the theme;
    check the widget’s settings …

    I assume that the posts need to have the featured image added.

    @michael – yes, that’s correct. Since there isn’t an image of his actual configuration I can’t tell if the OP is using the AlxTabs or AlxPosts widget, both of which include thumbnails if the posts have featured images, or if he’s using the default WP Recent Posts widget, which does not display thumbnails. Since the theme will display a thumbnail placeholder if the featured image is missing, I’m guessing he’s using the WP widget.

    Hi,
    where to disabled thumbnail placeholder for posts ?
    Where to set # of posts visible in the sidebar.

    I prior was able to remove the placeholder thumbnail (camera icon)
    by changing content-standard.php of my being-hueman.
    But with one of the latest updates, the thumbnails returned.

    You can’t disable them in the customize settings.
