• The height of the GDE viewer is small when I embed a document without any parameters [gview file=”…”]. The setting is at Weight=100% and Height=100%. I didn’t add any height attribute. I am dealing with PDF.

I could manually set the height to say some hundred pixels and that will fix the height but gave bad result on mobile screen. I didn’t notice I had this problem earlier, and I have not changed anything.

Can the viewer automatically set the height to the height of first page (for PDF)? I experience similar problem with .xlxs file, however I guess in this case the page height is undefined. So, it makes sense to specify a desired view height; ideally a max height to be specified so it can auto set the height based on content on first sheet if they are not too much.

Will appreciate to have some help with this. Thanks for the great plugin.

  • Yes, something like “auto-height” feature would be great.

You can use a style sheet to set a minimum or maximum height for the viewer frame. Because of the way Google uses Javascript to calculate and resize the page images based on the size of the viewer, browser window, etc., it’s not possible at this time for me to size this programatically. If I discover some other solution I agree this would be a beneficial feature.
