Slugs for Attachments shouldn’t interfere with slugs for Pages
-
When you upload an image to wordpress, it reserves a top level slug only for that media.
This results in very important slugs being reserved for nothing else than attachments.
For example, if my company name is Brand and upload a media called brand.png I won’t be able to create a page called https://mysite.com/brand, to display an About page or something like that.
This is kinda crazy. Attachments slugs shouldn’t interfere with page slugs, don’t you agree?
We would be better off with:
https://mysite.com/attachments/brand
https://mysite.com/?attachments=brand
https://mysite.com/insert-anything-else-but-a-top-level-slug-here/brand (xD)
