Slug Permalink possible bug

  • We experienced a bug with our WordPress, where clicking on any link composed of our domain name and slug (domain-name/slug) displayed the blog page. The pages identified with some element between the domain name and slug were not affected (e.g., domain-name/en/slug).

    The issue impacted nearly the whole of our site.

    This bug arose twice recently (March 11th, and March 20th). We managed to “fix” the problem by going to the Settings/Permalinks page in the WordPress dashboard and saving (without having made any modifications).

    We are not sure what brought on this bug. The second time we noticed it, we had just done an update of our underlying Ubuntu platform (apt update, etc.) though I cannot say if this is linked to the issue or not.
