Slug Conflicts – is it possible to have a CPT and a page with same slug?

Is this possible:

mysite.com/page-name

mysite.com/custom/page-name

Where “custom” is the Type name, and I’ve selected the Rewrite box and I’ve selected Normal WordPress Logic, and I’ve selected Allow permalinks to be prepended with front base

With the prepended with front base – there is no way there could be a URL conflict… so I was hoping it would let me have some Custom Post Types have the same slug as other pages/posts.

The actual use case is site.com/tour-name

site.com/payment/tour-name

where “payment” is the custom post type.

I’m not using child pages because I’m already using child pages of ‘tour-name” for something else.
