Thank you Crabsandwich for your feedback. A couple of points about that:
– The codes should only be loaded on the page where the icons show. If they don’t, please show us an example, so that we can investigate.
– Please note that the more features you use (e.g. Facebook like, Youtube follow etc.) the longer it will take to load. We cannot do much about that (with one exception, see below), because to make those features work, the codes from the social media site need to be loaded.
– One exception to the second point is the share feature for Facebook and Twitter especially. There also a one-link solution (not loading codes) is possible. We already implemented it in our premium plugin (https://www.ultimatelysocial.com/usm-premium/) and will also integrate it into our free plugin.
Apart from the loading of the social media codes, the plugin is as fast as it could possibly be – at least that’s what our investigations showed, but if you have any more suggestions, please share!
