Slows down WP

  • Im using xili to have 2 languages in my blog and had some issues with my blog being slow to load. so I used a plugin called P3 Plugin profiler to find out what plugin that slows my blog down.

    The reports the plugin generates says the xili-langage is responsible for halv my blogs loadingtime

    I have the latest 2.21.1 version of xili-language.

    Any settings in xili I should reconsider that is known to slow it down ?

    Thanks for your contribution for this free 7 years old plugin !
    I dont know how this tester plugin works.
    I can be interesting to compare with another multilingual plugin like Polylang.
    As visible in source, xili-language introduces element in query to detect the language taxonomy and selects the good .mo file.
    In the past, a plugin has introduced a way to cache .mo files.
    By experience,I never use caching in WP but better at the level of server (Apache).
