• Hi,

I am the administrator of a job search website running on WordPress, and I encountered an issue with the MAS Companies for WP Job Manager plugin.

First and foremost, I want to express my appreciation for the valuable features and functionality your plugin provides. It has been a fantastic addition to our job search platform. However, while investigating our website’s performance, I noticed a significant slowdown on pages, particularly when the MAS Companies for WP Job Manager plugin is active.

Upon activating the plugin, page generation and loading times increase substantially. Before activating the plugin, our uncached pages load in approximately 2-3 seconds. However, after activation, this time increases to 10-30 seconds. Additionally, the slowdown seems to affect not only the front end but also the backend performance.

To provide some context, we have around 6000 jobs and 5000 companies listed. Furthermore, we are using a robust hosting server to support our website’s needs.

I am reaching out to seek your expert advice and assistance in resolving this performance issue. I am keen to continue using the MAS Companies for WP Job Manager plugin as it aligns perfectly with our website’s goals and functionalities. Therefore, I hope we can collaborate to identify and rectify the root cause of this slowdown.

  • Hello parteeksinghlavish,

Thank you for reaching out to us and for your kind words about our MAS Companies for WP Job Manager plugin. We appreciate your feedback and are eager to help you resolve the performance issue you’ve encountered.

Based on your report, it appears that the plugin is causing a significant slowdown on your website, both on the front end and backend, after activation. However, we’ve thoroughly tested the plugin with default themes and haven’t encountered any such issues.

We understand that your website is hosting around 6000 jobs and 5000 companies, and you are using a robust hosting server to handle the load. Considering this, the plugin’s performance should be smooth.

Upon examining the page you referred to, we noticed an error in the console related to Google Maps. The script with the ID “google-maps” seems to be missing, which could potentially be a contributing factor to the issue you’re facing. Additionally, review any dependencies the script might have and ensure they are also included and loaded appropriately before the “google-maps” script.

    Hope this helps,

    Thanks, Y
