So I recently noticed a huge increase in load times when visiting my website for a first time on a new computer without it having being cashed. This resulted in me doing some research which presented me the following item being a possible cause of the loading times increasing.

    Slow

As seen on the picture above, everything loads pretty quickly except wpmss.php from this plugin.
This does make me wonder why this is and why it takes such a huge load on the page load, as the file is quite small in size.

So my question is, is there any way to fix this or a way around this to not having to slow down my website on page load?

Thanks for further information in advance.

  • I’m experiencing the same problem. Unluckily it is the only plugin I found that does smooth scrolling for touchpad when using Google Chrome

In general I personally find this plugin being rather obsolete as not much later after posting this thread, Chrome and all other modern Browsers integrated smoothscroll on a browser level rather than a site level.

So while it might still be useful to make use of this plugin if you want to control the way the smooth scrolling happens, in general if it causes such problems it could be better excluded.

    Hello,
I’m using my own plugin in many websites on various servers and I don’t have this problem. What is your server? Do you have optimized website according to gtmetrix, or google page speed? Do you have any errors in your console?

I don’t use the plugin anymore as it caused various loading issues, but yes everything was optimised as recommended by gtmetrix and google page speed, still gotten +90% scores on them but the loading times were still a burden.

But yea can’t really say I have to problem now anymore.
