Hello, nice plugin but it slows down heavy traffic sites/shops.
Had to delete it because of that on several sites/shops.
The plugin uses a lot of data in the database, which is slowing down other things to handle of…
    Maybe a solution to that?
I know it is an known issue in WordPress getting slow by to much plugins with lost of data, even at dedicated server hosting….

    Thanks! Bart

    Hi @bb15,

We’re currently comparing performance of Burst on our own webshop, really-simple-ssl.com. It’s currently running fine with an average of 15-20k pageviews per day.

We have heard of issues below this, regarding some server configurations. So we’re working towards aggregating data for more demanding websites, and a separate database installation to accommodate for heavy usage in the near future.

There’s also a difference between front-end and back-end performance, did you website slow down for users, or when check the statistics itself?

    regards Aert

    Hi Bart (@bb15),

Sorry to hear. Does it in your experience slow down the full site? Or only admin pages? Also, did the last update affect the page speed?

We are working on optimizing the database structure. After that, we will look into a way to archive ‘old’ data. To keep the database size minimal.

We have also planned an ‘on Premise’ version, which can be installed on another server and/or database. And collect data from websites where you install the tracking script.

Hopefully future Burst will be re-installed when we have solved these issues ??

    Kind regards,
    Hessel

Thank you both for your answers.
Our engineers advised us to delete your plugin on on of our big traffic shops (>10k unique visitors p/day) because it slowed down dedicated server al processes.
We are on Litespeed server, one of the quickest ??
