    Hello,

i’m having a weird issue. When i use your plugin it slows my Website down extremely – upwards of 3 to 4 seconds. Immediately after uninstalling the Plugin i was at full capacity again. This was constant for about five-ish days. I chose not to use the plugin anymore and since came up with another idea, but maybe there’s something to look into? It affected not only the page where the slider was put (Homepage), but even pages without the slider we’re about 1-2 seconds longer in load. Also gone immediately after uninstalling it.

    Hi @gooloode

The issue you are describing could be the result of multiple things, e.g.:

    • you used many images
    • or the images you are using are not optimized, ( e.g. if their quality is too high that could increase the rendering time or if their file size is too large that will increase the downloading time. )

As you see in our documentation:

you can use the built in features of the browser to figure out why the page loads slower.

If this didn’t help you in figuring out the cause of the problem, then please share the URL of your website so we could look into the underlying issue ourselves.
In case you do not wish to share the URL of your website on this public forum, contact us via our ticket system directly here:

    Best regards,

Hi Laszlo, sorry for the late reply.

I actually used 3 optimized, compressed WebP Images with the Slider that is built-in as a demo, because i actually really liked the look of it. I also added async in the settings and made sure that speed optimizations we’re enabled. Since the issue still happened on my main site, i had to get rid of the plugin. I tried setting up a staging site for you to look at, but that didn’t work.

So i used the very first setting the plugin comes width. 3 images (all below 10kB in WebP) in 3 slides in 1 slider on the main homepage. In the Framework added async to the Script and added a preload.

    Hi @gooloode!

That 3 image slider shouldn’t cause this kind of issue, so if you would ever consider using our plugin again on a public page, where you would see the issue come back, please let us know and we will take a look at what’s going on!
