Slow to Post

Hello, love the plugin but curious if there are any tweaks I can use to decrease posting time. I am using this plugin with the “disable URL updating” option checked on a locally hosted server on my PC for testing. When I submit a comment, it takes anywhere from 3 to 6 seconds for the comment to post and the comment section to refresh on the post page.
