Slow site but weird

  • Hi all,

    My site is experiencing slowness for no particular reason. I deactivated plugins one by one, change to default theme. Checked for malware, did a health check. Only issue seems to be an older version of php 7.

    However, the issue seems to resolve in 10mins once i put my site in maintenance mode??? This happened 3 times, so i’m convinced putting the site to maintenance mode is what fixed it.

    Any ideas?
