Slow search and website loading

    Hello,

    I started to use ACF and want to make searchable some custom fields. When I activate the ACF Better Search plugin my website slows down. Not only search pages but also homepage, category pages, single etc… My wp_posts have 220k rows and wp_postsmeta 860k rows. Without this plugin, the website works like charm. So, the question is it realistic that a website with a huge database will work with this plugin? Thank you

    Hello @gaxas,

    Thanks for your message.

    If you use Lite mode it should work. Unfortunately, it is not possible to use the plugin with default settings, because such SQL query is complicated and with this amount it would be very slow. But Lite mode should help.

    Let me know what has been achieved.

    Thank you for the reply! Sadly, Lite mode also slows down the website. An interesting thing, that slows not only the search page, but the whole website :/

    @gaxas Are you sure this is my plugin fault? This is very strange because it only works while searching.
