    There is a setting somewhere in your site that forces the load of all slides before showing them.

    Normally the photos are downloaded at the moment you need them to be displayed, because preloading them would take much time when there are many slides in a show.

    Maybe another plugin sets something that forces the preload. WPPA+ explicitly does not do this for the reason i described.

    You have also another slideshow (plugin) running on the frontpage, maybe it is the cause…
