• hallow i used the simplest shortcode to put a simple newsletter subscription form in the homepage. The problem is that, when i click SUBMIT, it takes more than 80 seconds for the new mwssage status to appear. Im using the standard customization.

    someone else with the same problem ? ( i have an ajax template)

    I think the delay is in the email submision, can do you try to configure the SMTP in Knews>Config “Advanced” tab?

    Thanks,
    Carles.

    I tested it, really slow… can do you try to change the theme to default and try again?

    Tell me if the issue is related with the theme (absolute theme) or not.

    Regards,
    Carles Reverter.

    Hello!

    I tested it, and the email submision are really slow! Please, try this:

    Go to knews>Configuration, advanced tab, and try to submit one test email to yourself… how many time spent the testing blink text to tell you the email are sent ok?

    Then, wp-admin login page and try the forget password, enter your email and submit it, how many time spent before tell you the email has been sent?

    Regards,
    Carles.

    Hi!

    I’m having the same issue; I stared a submision for 7000 recipients yesterday at 14:45 and at now it had sent only 1900…

    In fact, this morning I checked the progression and it was 1%! Despite I’m using WordPress Cron function I considered the possibility that being the sesion closed (at WP) it stopped the submision. It makes sense or I’m fliping out?

    Also I’m using an IIS Server… :\

    Hello Hector!

    This is another issue… @doso talks about extreme delay at confirm the subscription in the sidebar Knews form…

    Your submission must be through CRON, not WP-CRON.

    Knews submits every 10 minutes one portion of the list, but it needs an external trigger to do this. This trigger can be an user that visit your site. If your site hasn’t much visits, you can do a very large time submision with WP-CRON… Then, the reliable solution is configure CRON, or at least, use the JS-CRON trigger…

    Hi Carles, you are right @doso was talking about another issue, but the topic’s title is a bit confuse ’cause match my exactly my problem.

    Thanks for clarify about CRON!

    hallo people, i had the same @hector problem , i confugured the Cron and i had the same problem , it is probably something goes wrong with the new wordpress?

    Hi @doso,
    I understand, reading Carles explanation, that CRON is WordPress independent but not WP-Cron… If you are using the first one, and having tha same problem my be your cron job is not correctly seted up.

    @creverter
    with personalized smtp ( google) and standard cron

    test mail , more or less 5/6 seconds
    test reset password wordpress more or less the same
    test submission mail from the website : more or less 6 or more seconds

    @doso:

    Ok, then the issue is related with the PHP configuration, and must be solved by your host provider, in our testing webservers the remind password submission gets less than 2 seconds, near 1 second…

    Please, confirm if it solves the issue
    Carles.
