• Hi guys,

I am very glad I found this plugin as I am using a storage blob account to store my audio content for my church’s website. I installed this plugin, hoping to store all the assets and files for the site on the storage account as well but I find it very slow.

Uploading an image through the Media section takes a very long time, as it slowly replicates the image file into different dimensions and uploads it to the storage container.

Uploading the image and storing it locally is really fast, like a few seconds, but enabling and using this Azure storage account, a media upload takes about 1-2mins.

What could be causing this? I have set a custom cname which is linked to a cdn for the storage account and am using one container for the website files.

Do I need to do anything else to make sure it uploads fast enough?

  • Hi @ravingdiode

Thanks for raising your concern, and happy to know this plugin is helping you out with your church website.

Have you tried enabling azure analytics? This could provide better insight to see what’s happening when uploading files to your Azure storage account. From there it could probably be easier to get to the cause of such slow upload times.

Thank you and have a great day!

    Hey @oscarssanchez

Thanks for the tip. I did not try that and because of the slow uploading have reverted back to my original setup. I am still storing the audio on the blob storage account but I upload it through Azure Storage Explorer and then just copy the link into WordPress.

    Keep well,
    Riaan
