Slow Loading Jobs

    Good afternoon

    We have had some issues with how long it takes to load the jobs on our jobs page. Please can you let me know what we can do to speed up the loading of jobs?

    I would suggest editing that page and cutting down on the sheer number of jobs you’re showing at once. Maybe change the shortcode to something like so:

    [jobs per_page=10]

    Otherwise, if you’re loading, say, 50… well, it’s going to take longer.

    Hi Adam

    Thank you for getting back to me.

    I have changed the jobs down to 15. Its still so much slower than other sites I know are using this plugin. Is there anything else i can try?

    The first thing I’d suggest is to ask your web host’s support folks about upgrading you to PHP 7.2 or 7.1. Any version of PHP 7 will be faster than 5.6, which is what you have now. That should help a lot right out of the gate.

    I’d also look into some form of caching if your host makes it available.
