Slow loading

  • I have noticed this over the past few months.

    When I go in and try and update the Widgets that it takes a very long time to load them. They finally come up and I can work with them. Not the way I want but I can make them work.

    I am using the Graphene theme. It works for us.

    I also have the Boxilla Plugin being used on this same site. It also takes a long time to work on the site. I have it set to have it show up 1 second after being on the page to appear. It takes way longer than that to appear.

    I just don’t know where to go to get help with either of these issues.

    Forgot to add that I am using the same theme and plugins on other sites I maintain and have no issues like I am having on this site.

    Then you have several options to investigate the cause:

    • Compare the settings on the hosting with the other web. There may be a difference in some PHP setting.
    • Look under Tools > Site Health to see if there are any anomalies.
    • Deactivate all plugins as a test. Does this change the behavior of the widgets? If so, one of the plugins was to blame.
    • If you have not found it so far, try changing the theme to see if it improves.
