• Received this from my Hosting company after complaining of slow site load times:

“The performance issue is caused by the web site’s application pool recycling. The web site is recycling because it’s hitting its memory quota. The hosting plan you have allows for 50MB of server memory per web site. “

My question is this: can I do anything with WordPress files to help this, or do I have to upgrade my hosting plan?

what plugins are installed and activated on your website.

do you have many large images on your website.

have you tested website in any speedcheck tools?

can you share a link to your website?

who is your webhost? are you using shared hosting plan?

Yes, on shared plan – hosted at Applied Innovations

I do have some large images but they are kind of necessary

    The site is HorsepowerKings.com

I do have about 18 plugins installed and activated as well. Stuff like Disqus, YouTube Pro, Wordfence, etc

have you tried disabling plugins and reactivating one by one to see if any one of them create slowness?
have you tried using a Content Delivery Network if you have a bunch of high resolution necessary images?

I guess my main question is if I can modify the memory limits in a PHP file
