Slow image upload to Media Library

Hi

We have been using Smush pro for a while and whenever we upload an image it takes quite sometime for it to get uploaded. Many a times we have to refresh the page in order to see the image. We now had to switch off the “smush while uploading” option and we later bulk smush the images. This is very time consuming when we have to upload multiple images for products. Please advise on how to resolve this.
