Slow first load for my blog

  • Hey all,

    I am noticing that my blog (https://blindivan.com/blog) is loading slowly on the first search, but then there after it loads at a normal speed.

    I have the WP Super Cache downloaded and activated but I am not noticing much of a difference in speed. I think that maybe there is html coding that needs to be tightened up.

    Can anyone help me out?

  • Your site’s background image, cemetary.jpg, is 1.9 megs in size and took 16 seconds to download on my computer. That’s the slowest thing on your page.
