    Hi

I use Product Customer list for my online store but have noticed that with the plug-in enabled, it takes significantly longer for the back-end to retrieve information from the database when I am editing a product. With the plugin disabled, retrieving details such as the Product Description is almost instantaneous but it can take up to a minute with the plugin enabled.

Is there anything I can do to speed up the database retrieval process?

    Cheers,
    MH

    Hi @fongmh,

Unfortunately, pulling all this info from the database is very resource intensive, specially for shared servers. But how my plugin works, it waits until you scroll to the meta box before it startsa pulling the data, so you could drag and drop your product description meta box before my plugin’s meta box so you will be able to see that info.

You could also go in “screen options” on your top right and uncheck my plugin and only check it when you need to see it.

    Hi @kokomoweb,

Thanks for the quick reply. I’ve tried both your suggestions but it doesn’t seem to have sped up loading time. I’m wondering if it could be related to the sheer number of transactions and users that I have on my site.

You are also right in saying that I am currently on a shared server. I may try your plugin again once we’ve migrated to a dedicated box because I thought your plugin was extremely useful.

Thanks again for the quick reply.

    Cheers,
    MH
