slow 30 seconds checkout spinner

  • Hello,

    Everything in my site works fine except for this:

    When in checkout, and after choosing the payment method (onli BACS allowed), when I click to checkout the spinner appears and stays there for 30 seconds ore more before the thank you page appears.

    What i’ve tried:

    – turn off confirmation emails
    – turn of js in checkout
    – disable the other plugins
    – disable heartbeat
    – increase memory (currently 128M)

    nothing seems to work..

    can anyone shed some light on why that takes so long? any other page loading time is under 4 secs.
