Slow? 1.89 seconds to load this plugin alone.

Instapress takes 1.89 seconds to load itself. Is that typical? That’s really heavy for a little part of my site.
I’m pulling 26 images via a hashtag at 228px per image.
Anything I can do do dramatically improve that speed?
