SLLLLOOOOOOWWWWWW

  • My dashboard is soooooooo slow. It seems the website is loading slowly for me too. I am using Firefox on a Mac. I have looked up other situations like mine, but their solutions didn’t work, or I didn’t understand how to implement them.

    I have removed all unnecessary plug-ins. I am using WooCommerce with WPExplorer Total theme. I asked them for advice but it didn’t help. I asked GoDaddy for help, and they couldn’t help me either.

    I am going crazy with this. The website is done. It is just updates at this point. The website is https://www.marathonproducts.com.
    Help. Please, any suggestions should be easy for an amateur to follow.

    It has mostly been the dashboard for the past few months. But today it was the website (for me) as well.

    I am having issues with my satellite provider (HughesNet).

    I spoke with GoDaddy today because I am getting resource limit errors. He sent me a link for a “GTmetrix Performance Report: F(30%) / E(51%)”. He showed me that the home page is gigantic (7.92mb) and makes too many requests (142). I don’t understand why or how to change it. It has a slider on it. Is that why?

    Apparently, WP is not serving scaled images. Most of my many images are 1024×1024. I thought WP created smaller images when needed. What do I need to do to create smaller image instances? (PRIORITY)

    Other suggestions to optimize the site are: Minimize redirects, Leverage browser caching. The report tries to explain what these terms mean, but doesn’t seem to say how to fix them.

    How can I find a developer to hire to look into and fix these problems?
