  • I think I may have figured it out. For some reason, the setting in Slimstat > General > Javascript mode was set to “Yes.” I don’t know how that happened. Once I changed it to “No,” the action started again. (Both Wassup and GA were recording lots of info during this period, but not Slimstat)

By the way, I know a lot have people have stopped enabling Java in their browsers because of the security risks. So I imagine there are many people whose behavior might look different in Stats. Am I right about that?

Just one thing. It’s too bad you can’t (in practical terms) use statistics plugins (like yours) and cache plugins at the same time. There are just too many problems. I wish there was a way to fix this, because I would like my website pages to load as quickly as possible. Any ideas?

    Thanks. I love your plugin.

That’s weird, because other users are reporting that both w3 total cache and super cache are working just fine with SlimStat 2.9.2 and js mode enabled. Have you cleared your plugin’s cache to allow SlimStat to add the tracking code?

It’s working now after disabling Javascript Mode.
    Thanks for your great plugin!

If it’s not working with js mode on, then you either need to clear your caching plugin’s cache or you need to take a look at the FAQs ?? Please keep us posted

Right now I’m not even using a cache plugin. When I used the cache plugin, everything went south with Slimstat. Now admittedly, I have not tried it with 2.9.2 (just the earlier versions). Perhaps you’ve done something different with this version. In any case, I also use “Wassup,” which gives me useful information. And Wassup definitely does not work with many caching programs. I will continue to investigate. Anyway Slimstat is working great at the moment, just not with Cache plugins.

    Thanks!

Do you happen to if DB Cache Reloaded or Quick Cache work with Slimstat?

    Thanks again.

For what I know, Quick Cache, HyperCache, W3 Total Cache and WP Super Cache are all compatible with SlimStat 2.9.2. I’m about to release 2.9.3, though, which addresses a minor glitch that could affect W3TC users.

Version 2.9.2 comes with a brand-new tracking engine (replacing the old one after three years of honorable service eheh), and this new engine is compatible with caching plugins, when JS Mode is enabled. This makes SlimStat one of the few plugins out there to work with them.

    Cheers,
    Camu
