I’ve been running Slimstat 3.9.3. It worked fine for a month or so, but recently it has become extremely slow and often cannot load the Real-Time Log at all.

I’ve tried a few suggestions I’ve found regarding improving Slimstat’s performance – disabled UAN, truncating database, without improvement.

I opted to delete all records and that returned the performance to normal, but only for a day or so. It quickly became as slow as before.

My question is this: What steps can I take to troubleshoot the slow performance?

How many records do you have in your wp_slim_stats table?

    Thanks for your quick reply.

Presently there are 0 records since I had to delete all records this morning.

As I recall, there were 139 records at the time I last deleted it.

Hm, that’s really strange. Maybe your hosting provider is not powerful enough to support Slimstat?

Perhaps. Although Slimstat was working fine for about six weeks. Then over the course of a week or so, I noticed it getting slower and slower.

Disabling Slimstat returned the site speeds to normal. When I re-enabled Slimstat and deleted all records, it behaved fine for awhile but became sluggish then nearly unresponsive over the course of several days.

I think my next move is to remove it entirely and then re-install it from scratch. I’ll monitor it more closely and report back with more specific details.

You may also want to check if any of your slimstat tables is corrupted.

Okay. Beyond the ‘Check Table’ button in phpMyAdmin, I’m not experienced in identifying InnoDB table corruption. But I’ll read up on the matter.
