Hi, we are using the paid version of UPC to run a course catalog on this site.

We’re very happy with things so far, as we were able to modify things to work great with a catalog of courses. It was really easy to set up and use.

    However, we’re noticing a couple of issues…

    1. There is a problem with category names disappearing in the filtering options on the left side of the catalog page. To get this to happen, you:

    – Click to filter by a category.
    – Click on a course to display the details.
    – Click on “Back to Catalogue”

When you do this, the selected category is still checked, but all the unselected category names disappear.

Reloading the catalogue from the website menu resets things.

    2. Occasionally, the catalog is getting stuck on “Updating Results…”

Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide!

  • Hi Mike,

Sorry about the category disappearance issue: we added an option “Maintain Filtering” which is causing the problem. If you set it to “No”, all of the categories will display when you return to the page. Unfortunately, we haven’t figured out how to get the categories to display while maintaining filtering yet, but we’re working on it.

Does it depend on which products are being displayed? This could have to do with a character not being interpreted properly by javascript, or it could just be a performance issue.

Thanks for the reply. I wondered about that maintain filtering option, and have turned it off. As you mention, it solves the problem. ??

Regarding the “Updating results…” stickiness, I’ll keep an eye out for it over the next few days and see if I noticed any patterns. It’s only happened to me once, but it happened to one of our other administrators a few times.

    Thanks again!
