Slideshow into a Twenty Eleven them header ?

  • Is it possible (and if so, how would a novice do it ?) to insert a slideshow e.g. Portfolio Slideshow plugin, into the header of a ‘Twenty Eleven’ themed page ?
    I HAVE searched for previous similar queries without success.
