slideshow gallery pro – enable/disable thumbnail slide arrow

Hi,
I want to control the slideleft/right arrows of the thumbnail area.
i.e Enable the sliding arrows when I have more than 6 thumbnails to show, otw give all the space for the thumbnails without showing the slideleft and slideright arrows. As it stands now, clicking on the thumbnail sideleft/right arrow does nothing if there are not sufficient thumbnails to slide, and the user gets panicked!

Any hint in the code where to hack? Which module?
