Slides missing from Slideshow

    For several slideshows some or all slides are missing. The images of the slides are present in the upload folder. For example for one slideshow in the “Browse Slideshows” bar it says: 7slides, but only 3 of them are shown below in MetaSlider admin.

    Preview works, but not for the missing slides. Is there any way to recover these missing slides?


    The preview works: Yes
    It works with other themes: Yes, same result
    It works when I disable all other plugins: Yes, same result
    Meta Slider version: 3.28.2 WP6.1.1

    Hi @sneoo4

    Thanks for using MetaSlider. Have you tried adding the images to the slideshow again? That will likely tell you whether the images are actually present in your media library or have become corrupted.

    Hi Steve,

    The images are probably corrupted in the media library too, but I don’t know their names. The total number of slides is still present so I would like to know if it is possible to trace which images from a Slideshow are missing. Are they listed somewhere in the post table?

    Hi Steve, Today I added new slides to the same slideshow and with that the number of slides increases, but the missing slides are not shown. So I can see 6 slides in MetaSlider Slideshow but the #number of slides in the browse slideshows is 12. Any suggestions? Thanks

    This is difficult to debug further without access to your site, and we’re not allowed that for Free support here on www.remarpro.com.

    • Is it possible that your server is out of space?
    • Do you see any error messages in the error log for this site?

    It would be useful to make a listing of the slides used in the slideshow and then to remove those entries form the list. No errors for the site.

    Is it possible that your server is out of space? That might explain issues with the images.

    Server has enough space.

    Hi @sneoo4. This is a tricky problem to debug and it’s not one our team team have seen before.

    Are you able to successfully create new slideshows?

    Do you see image-related problems anywhere else on the site?

    Hi @stevejburge, I do not have other problems with images apart from metaslider. Can you suggest me to find the names of the missing slides to be able to recover which slides are missing…

    I can add new images and create new slideshows, no issues there.
