Slides – dynamic from posts?

Is it possible to have slides that populate from posts / a category?
On other sections you have the ability to use post title or except etc. I can’t see this on the slide widget. Is it possible or do i have to look for a third pary solution.
Rev slider can do this.

It would also be good to be able to actually add widgets to a slide, like a section, once again, like Rev Slider.
