Slider with text

Hi Jalt,

To create a slideshow like that shown in the demo:

• Go to the theme options panel and select Homepage.
• Under the “Homepage Slider” section select ThinkUpSlider.
• Expand the box and upload the image you want to use. You can also add a title, description and choose to link that particular slide.
• To add a new slide press “Add Slide”. You can then choose to rearrange the order of slides by dragging the slides you want to reposition.

Please let me know if that solved the issue. If it didn’t then please add a link to your site so I can look at the code.

Hi and thanks for your response, the thing is I want my images of the slider to have text on them as the ones of the preview an also the link to a page but I cant find the option that allows the title appear over the image. The slider is working fine just want to put text over the images

When you add the text it should automatically put this over the image just like in the demo. We’ve put together a very quick (rough & ready) screencast which shows exactly what to do:

Hi thankyou, I dont know why in my version of the Thinkup Slider it doesnt show the description option just title and link.
Im using local host so I dont know how you can link to my site, the address that shows is
https://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/themes.php?page=redux_options

We can’t access a localhost install unfortunately. Also that is a link to the admin area. We just need a link to the frontend of your site, the homepage.

Once the theme is install on a live environment we can see your site and take a look. Can you put a test site up so this can be done?

Yes i will try to put it today, but the options that i have are different, in mine under >enable homepage slider< it appears >Homepage Slider Shortcode< and i saw in yours doesnt appear
So as I mention before I dont have the option to put description only title and link and neither of those appear at the image.

Please update to the latest version of Engrave (Lite). What is the number you see next to “Engrave (Lite)” at the top of the options panel?

Its Engrave (Lite) 1.4.7

I’ve just downloaded the latest version from the download page and the ThinkUpSlider is there. Please try deleting your current version of Engrave (Lite). Then download a fresh copy and reinstall.

See if this solves the problem. I’ll wait to hear how you get on.

Hi Afzaal, I just delete the old files and download the theme again, uploaded to my host and it still the same options that THinkupslider gives me. No description and doesnt show text in image like you did.
Also still appears the option of Homepage Slider Shortcode

This sounds like a cache issue. Have you got plugin installed like WP Total Cache or Super Cache? This might prevent you from seeing updates.

The only way we can really help you is for you to install the theme in a live environment. We can then check everything fully. Let me know when you have the theme on a live install.

Yes we can help. Please can you setup an admin account for our support team in your WordPress admin area and also an FTP account. We can then check your install fully and diagnose the issue.

Can you confirm. Is this the first time you’ve installed Engrave (Lite) v1.4.7? Have you used any previous versions? Was this an upgrade?

Also, have you ever downloaded the theme from anywhere other than www.remarpro.com? If so, please specify where this was.
