    Hi.

I’ve created two WP- websites with the suffusion theme. I use Meta- Slider on one of them (alvoenkunst.no)but can’t get it to work on the other one (belforte.no)

The problem is simply this: After I install the plugin I click on it in the left margins so that I can create my slideshows. However, after I click a blank page shows up. I’ve reinstalled the plugin but still the same problem. No way for me to create the slides.

Any idea how I can fix this?

  • Hi,

Sorry to hear that! Someone else reported the same issue but I never got to the bottom of it – hopefully you can help.

Are both sites running on the same server? (trying to rule out server configuration)

Are both sites on the same version of WordPress, and is the WordPress version 3.5+? (trying to rule out it being due to an old version of WordPress)

Have you tried disabling your other plugins? (most likely, if the answer to the first two questions is “yes”, then there will be a conflict with another plugin)

    Regards,
    Tom.

    Hi. Thanks for answering.

    Yes they are

Yes they are both version 3.51

No I have not. I tried the satellite-slider plugin, but was not satisfied with it, and then removed it. That was before trying the meta-slider. I don’t know if that could have an effect, however I did unuinstall it before installing Meta-slider so I would guess that’s not the problem. I’ll try disabling some plugins and try again. Problem is that I need the other plugins that are installed as well.

Ok, thanks. The first step to fixing something is working out what is breaking it ??

If you could let me know which plugin is causing the issue, maybe there is something in Meta Slider that I can do, or maybe I could contact the plugin author with details on how to fix.

    Regards
    Tom.

    Hi,

Are you sure you’re running WP 3.5 on that site? I think it might be 3.3. Can you double check?

Hi Tom. You’re right. Its version 3.3 on the one not working. Sorry about that ! I’ll update when I have the time and try again. Thanks !

    Robert

    No worries ??

I’ve added a warning notice into the next version for people running < 3.5

    Tom.
